This continuous expansion within the organisation has given rise to an exciting employment opportunity for a Payroll / HR officer to be a part of their growing entity.

Job Description

Responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to;

  • Prepare and process salaries and wages on a fortnightly and monthly basis
  • Maintain payroll and employee records to meet organisation and statutory requirements
  • Administering records relating to superannuation, insurance, PAYG tax and other employee benefits.
  • Preparing and processing termination calculations and manual adhoc payrolls,
  • Preparing and distributing monthly reports on key people metrics including turnover, absenteeism, overtime and headcount
  • Actively assist in maintaining and updating HR templates, forms, Position Descriptions, Interview Guides, HR policies and Intranet systems as required
  • Assist in the preparation of employee correspondence and standard letters

The Successful Applicant
To be successful in applying for this position is it expected the applicant will have several years experience within payroll and possess proficient knowledge of taxation requirements for payroll. The successful applicant will have sound knowledge of excel and computer based pay systems. It is also ideal that applicants be strong written and verbal communicators with a high attention to detail. Applicants with good prioritising and team skills and an understanding of current employment legislation will also be at a distinct advantage.
