This is a well-established, and highly regarded central department that provides services to the Parliament and Commonwealth public sector entities. They are currently seeking a passionate and efficient Accounts Officer to join their growing team.

This opportunity will allow for diverse and valuable exposure to the ACT and Federal Government entities, with flexible working agreements and potential for tremendous career growth.

Job Description

As an Accounts Officer, your daily duties will include:

  • Perform the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable function
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments
  • Undertake accounts receivable function including generating invoices
  • Daily Bank reconciliations
  • Month end reporting procedures
  • General finance and office administration tasks as required

The Successful Applicant

Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping
  • Microsoft Word/Excel experience
  • Proven track record of accurate processing skills
  • Baseline Security Clearance, or ability to obtain
  • Experience with TechnologyOne is desirable but not essential
