About Our Client

Our client is an established not-for-profit organisation who operate across Aged Care, Individual & Family Support Services, Financial Services, and Disability Services. Due to recent growth, they are looking at initiating a large-scale AP automation project over the next few years. They have a supportive, collaborative finance team, and offer a rare opportunity to have a real impact on the shared service strategy of the organisation.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your role will include:

  • Champion the AP system automation project
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives as agreed with the Head of Finance, including preparation of manuals, policies & procedures
  • Provide expert advice on matters related to the operation of the accounts payable and purchase order systems
  • Provide regular supervision to the Accounts Payable Officers and ensure participation in Performance Development Review and Planning processes
  • Processing of all creditor accounts, including invoice matching to purchase order, invoice processing, creditor's payment, etc.
  • Manage the weekly cheques & EFT payments to suppliers & clients
  • Liaise with all suppliers and internal stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner
  • Process month end accrued expenses
  • Timely identification and rectification of problems in the accounts payable and purchase order systems
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for the Corporate Accountant & Head of Finance
  • Undertake monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to invoices
