Job Description

The key responsibilities for the position are,

  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, contact details, employment history, and documentation related to benefits, taxes, and performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate the on boarding process for new hires, including paperwork completion, orientation, and training coordination.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers and benefits vendors.
  • Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Verify time sheets and resolve payroll-related discrepancies.
  • Maintain knowledge of labour laws and regulations to ensure company policies and practices are in compliance.
  • Monitor and track employee attendance and leave requests.
  • Assist in resolving minor employee relations issues and escalating more serious matters to HR managers or higher-level personnel.
  • Maintain organised physical and digital HR files and documentation.
  • Ensure that records are stored securely and are easily retrievable.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating HR-related events or training.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have the following skill set,

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiar with a blue collar environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Tech savvy.
  • Ability to handle a high pressure environment.
  • Confident with deescalating issues and situations.
