About Our Client

My client is a large, very well established business operating in the Not-For-Profit sector.

They have been operating for over 100 years and have continued to grow in this time.

The business processes pay for over 13,000 staff and have a total team of circa 18-20 staff in payroll.

They operate a friendly, supportive environment and offer very flexible working arrangements.

Job Description

This is a hands on, permanent, full time Payroll Officer position.

Working within a smaller sub-team of two staff, you will have responsibility for one entity within the group.

Your role will involve running a full function, end to end payroll, covering everything from new starters to terminations, including awards interpretation & reviewing other colleague's work. With your own portfolio covering an end to end payroll, you'll be able to take ownership over your own payroll & day.

You'll be running a fortnightly payroll. The entity you are looking after is relatively complex, with a couple of tricky EBA's you'll be interpreting & paying staff under.

You will be given opportunities to grow and progress within this role - with the ability to take on more responsibility as you grow within the company.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have worked in hands on, full function payroll positions previously.

If you have worked in a larger payroll this will be of benefit, as will having exposure to larger ERP systems.

You will be based in Brisbane & hold current working rights.

My client also requires you to be vaccinated for Covid & the flu.

What's on Offer

I have a very competitive salary & package on offer for this role.

- Salary up to $80,000 base at the top end + not-for-profit tax benefits - equivalent of circa $9,000 extra on the base. Superannuation will be on top of this.

- Flexible working, with 2-3 days WFH available after initial training. Flexible hours also available for this role.
